Steve Porter continues to prove the art of the “Remix” and the “Mashup” are here to stay
PorterHouse Media, a production company founded by world-renowned master video remixer DJ Steve Porter, continues to build momentum in 2012.
PorterHouse Media began 2012 continuing to work on the E! Entertainment Television video promos for the network’s Red Carpet Specials; Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild (SAG), Grammy Awards and the Academy Awards (Oscars). Each promo was used as E!’s official commercial leading up to the big events.

ESPN’s NFL Countdown also continued over into 2012 with the Tim Tebow, “All He Does Is Win” remix hitting over 3 Million views on YouTube.

Howard Stern came looking for another mix after being blown away by the remix Porter and The PHM Crew did back in December. The remix showcased Beetlejuice the rest of the “Wack Pack”.
This time PHM remixed Seth Rogen into a danceable mashup video. When Seth Rogen was asked what he thought about the composition he replied, “I want a copy of that”.

With the basketball season finally starting came the NY Knicks, another return customer, commissioned PHM to create another video that would assist in promoting the Knicks to the All-Star game.
Shortly after the release of the Knicks Now video, was the incredibly story of Jeremy Lin’s winning streak that placed the Knicks as a contender for the NBA playoffs. Steve Porter gave Jeremy Lin’s moment some extra energy with “All He Does Is Lin”, which Steve Porter premiered at Madison Square Garden for all the fans and Knicks.

With 2012 moving fast and furious, keeping the PHM crew busy has come new clients to add to the already impressive roster.
One of those clients is the network broadcast channel ABC. ABC News has been working with PorterHouse Media over the past few months on the 2012’s Presidential Campaign race. January’s mashups is entitled “Take America Back” and February’s Mashup is entitled, “Rise Up”. This is the first time Steve Porter and PHM worked within politics and it is very evident that the fit is perfect!

The other ABC outlet is the American morning show, “Good Morning America”.
This high-energy remix will promote the morning show and highlight the past segments that have aired in 2012. This GMA mashup will serve as the official GMA commercial with the extended version available on-line.
As Porter and PorterHouse Media evolve, so does the use of the remix/mashup. More and more clients are approaching PHM wanting more exposure then just the opportunity for a viral video. In the likes of “Good Morning America”, Hasbro Inc, the widely successful toy company, commissioned PHM to participate in a full launched advertising campaign. Not only will Porter and the team be creating the commercial and the music, but will also be actively involved in the production process and appearing in the actual commercial.
This is year has already proved to be full of new energy and opportunities and Steve Porter and PHM are ready for what comes next.
